My wife and I ride our bikes to Soulard Market almost every Saturday.
Last Saturday, while I was locking up our bikes, I looked into the dumpster behind the bike racks to see an astounding amount of rotting produce mixed in with Styrofoam, cardboard, plastic, etc.
Does anyone know if this is standard procedure, or if there is a recycling/composting system in place that someone may be ignoring?
I was in the middle of writing an email to the alderwoman who's ward includes Soulard Market (Phyllis Young), but I thought I'd put the word out first. That way, if I'm the only one who contacts her about it, then I'm the only crazy out there. Yet, if other people contact her, then maybe we can change something down there.
